EL BURGO`s day of the soup takes place on Sunday 28th. February. The "Sopa de Los Siete Ramales" (soup of seven ingredients) owes its name to the soups seven main items - tomatoes, pepper, onion, garlic, bread, mint and green asparagus. The townsfolk of El Burgo are the experts in preparing the dish.
The festival draws visitors from all over a wide area. The townspeople prepare the soup over open stoves in the traditional way, accompanied by live music and dancing.
This is a nice friendly event that is worth taking time to attend. El Burgo as a repetition as a very friendly and welcoming place for visitors.
