How do you spend 80% of your time

My goal is to spend 80% of my time on the tasks that are going to bring me in the greatest results.

I focus on 3 main areas in my business;

1. Creating and distributing content
2. Creating and delivering new courses / current course content
3. Networking & building relationships

So over the course of a week, I'm constantly looking for ways to get the greatest results in any one of these 3 areas.

If I catch myself spending time doing anything that takes me away from these, then I start to look at how I can systemise and outsource the task I am doing.

However, sometimes life gets in the way and you can get to the end of a whole day or week and realise you've achieved nothing!

That's why it's important to not only plan the week ahead but also review the week behind, so you can highlight some weaknesses and make a note of how you can change / outsource or improve on those areas moving forward.

Remember, you want to spend 80% of your time doing the things that are going to get you the greatest results.

Take some time out today and review last week and plan the week ahead.

Decide today what you want to have accomplished by this time next week and then dive headlong into it tomorrow!

One , Two Go for It!

Lots of people are looking for ways to earn more income online. The first point is finding the right income opportunity.

The Internet offers many opportunities that you can research on your own. In this article we will talk about a few ways you can earn extra income online and you can research the individual opportunities on your own.

1. Network marketing still remains a popular and fun way to develop a walk-away income. Developing an income that pays you over and over is one of the strongest features of network marketing.

There are ordinary people earning money with network marketing that never could do so in the past. There are also Internet marketers who have no background in network marketing using this business model to create a powerful residual income all around the world.

Leveraging your time and duplicating your efforts are two of the drawing cards for network marketing. This is also how it is possible for you to make a residual income as your creative downline of individuals building their own network marketing business.

You get paid every time a product moves through your downline either through wholesale or retail sales. Over time this can turn into a very large residual income.

2. Another way to earn residual income is building a lucrative high traffic blog. This is an excellent way to make money online because you can blog on things that interest you.

You can monetize your blog in numerous ways, but one commonly used is incorporate the Google Adsense affiliate program into all of your blog articles. This is a hands-off way to create income and as you develop a high traffic blog.

Selling advertising to businesses interested in Internet marketing is another benefit of making money with a high traffic blog. This lets you focus on writing blog articles and billing your advertisers once a month.

The residual income part of this comes into play as your blog grows to the point that the traffic is self-sustaining. You can even outsource adding fresh content to blog writers which really frees up your time to enjoy the money you are making.

In summary, these are just two ways to earn residual income on the Internet. Finding the right residual income opportunity in network marketing is something anyone can do.

Building income that pays you consistently with a high traffic blog is a fun way to make money and one that appeals to many Internet marketers.

Travel Tips Be Careful

Wherever tourists gather, be it at a castle, railway station or in a café bar you are more than likely to be approached by gypsies offering bunches of roses and or other plants. These can be very nice and a good buy but be careful. If this happens, first hang on to your bag. They are often in groups and whilst you are looking at the offerings, another picks your pocket or your bag. It happens all the time.

You will come across beggars everywhere, outside supermarkets at the bus station and again at tourist attractions. They often have a sign printed in English telling you their story. You may be approached by children or by young women with a card saying that they are refugees and have no money. If you feel strongly about these issues you should make a donation to a registered charity as often money given in the streets ends up in the pockets of organized gangs.

Finally, how to deal with the Looky, Looky men of African origin who sell CDs DVDs and watches, toys and sunglasses. More and more they drop by your table as you enjoy your coffee in the sun. They have a great sales pitch but the goods are sometimes worthless. If you are tempted to buy it is always a good idea to ask around bar owners and local residents to find out who are the regular and reputable Looky, Looky men because some of their stuff can be ok. If you do not want to do business with them Keep your money in you wallet or purse Smile and say no thank you and they will go away.
Stuff Happens… Now What Are You Going To Do About It?

Ok I’m focused and know where I’m going and now I’ve received an email
telling me that my friend Bob Mouncer has been called away to London as
a friend of his is seriously ill. Bob is proof reading my book, my dead
line for getting my book back was Mid-November. My first instinct was to
panic, my second was, there’s nothing that can be done about it, I’ll just
have to deal with it after all nothings set in concrete and the date for
the launch can be moved.

I’ve slept on it and have decided to start reproof reading, this means
learning the ebook software will have to wait. Stuff Happens.

What do you do when you’ve made up your mind to move forward on your
dreams, you start on your goals, and then calamity strikes? You have
to decide to keep your eyes on the prize and not on the problems.
Problems will come, in fact, they must come. That’s how we grow, however,
we must decide whether we will go through the problems or grow through
the problems. That decision will determine our actions. And our actions
will determine our results.

So when life gets in the way as it sometimes does and it knocks you down
and tries to knock you out, Just pick yourself up, Dust yourself down, and
now get moving again in the direction of your goals.

Fellow entrepreneur, we all have challenges on our journey towards our goal
for greater success, but please do not stop. Don’t give up. No matter what
don’t let anything wreck your success. Focus on the prize of achieving the
goal rather than the pain of the problem. In time, you will see your prizes
grow and your problems shrink. Most of all, you will grow yourself and
achieve success.

By the way I’ve had a second email from Bob, telling me he’d taken my
book with him to London and that he thinks we can still achieve by
mid-November deadline what a gem. Oh dear that means I’m back to
getting to grips with  the ebook software which is another challenge.

Albert Einstein once defined insanity as doing the same thing over and
over again and expecting different results.
Stuff Happens… Now What Are You Going To Do About It? Part 2

Well this morning I’ve received bad news from my friend Bob Mouncer.
Bob called me from London to say his friend has passed away they were
friends for over 48 years so it as hit him hard.

As you can see I’m running late Mid-November as gone and I’ve decided
that our website will have to go online now before the book is ready. I’ve
had to refocus as it was nearly ready and I’ll tweak it  as we go along, I’m still
getting to grips with the software for the book, yes Stuff Happens.

Ok what now, it’s time to refocus yet again, looking at my list there’s lots
to do. Going to start to look for place to sell my  book, any suggestions great
fully received please leave a comment on my blog.

Our auto responder is up and running and when you sign up for our Tips,
Advice and much more newsletter we be giving you Suzanne Morrison’s
10 Free SEO Tools. Suzanne’s book was a great help to me whilst I’ve been
building our website, and there are links to other FREE stuff that will help
you build your website.

I’m setting a new launch date for my book, as I said in my last post nothing
is set in concrete

www.developingyoursuccess.com

On a brighter note the sun is shining, I’m going to take a couple of hours off
and go with my husband James to take the dogs for a walk and maybe do a
bit of Christmas shopping, then it will be back to work, it as become a
labour of love, which is a good job really it as taken a long time  to fulfil
my dream I’m now 90% of the way there and by Christmas it will be 99%
the last 1% is for my book to become a success.

This luxurious train operates on two routes in Spain.

The ‘Al Andalus’ itinerary travels through Andalusia in southern Spain, with visits to (amongst other places)  Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Ronda and Cadiz, thus taking in a wide sweep of Southern Spain, whilst being transported through stunning scenery from the mountains of the Sierra Nevada to the Atlantic Ocean.  Andalucia today is the result of cultural influences that encompasses the Carthaginians, the Romans, the Byzantines and of course the Moors, all before the Christian Spanish era that has become modern Spain.
This historical kaleidoscope has produced a number of World Heritage sites and cities, set in a varied and fascinating landscape, much of which is protected for its flora and fauna.
The ‘Ibérico’ itinerary is Madrid to Zaragoza, or Zaragoza to Madrid, with a full programme of visits to perhaps less well known cities, sites and towns.  The tour takes in Pamplona, la Rioja wine tasting, Moorish and Roman Burgos, Ávila – City of the Stones and Saints, with thousand-year old city walls and many Romanesque and Gothic churches and  Segovia, with much Roman architecture.  This part of Spain is rich in military history, with many battles being fought over the centuries, not least the Peninsula War.
About the Train - The lounge, bar and restaurant carriages were built in France between 1929 and 1930 by the Wagon-Lits Company, and have now been restored to their original splendour, which is matched by on-board service, attentive without being obsequious.  This is the epitome of romantic travel; Belle Epoque charm mingles with the comfort of  the modern age, allowing the traveller to revel in the pleasure of the journey.
It is worthwhile noting that the sleeper carriages have private bathing facilities for all suites – shower, toilet and wash basin.

Once upon a time, Spain had one of the most backward train networks in western Europe.  Now, they have one of the best, indeed, one of my favourite rail systems.  High-speed AVE trains (Alta Velocita Espagnol) link major cities at up to 186mph, and if you book in advance online you can find some great cheap fares at the official Spanish rail website, www.renfe.com.  This page will give you a heads-up on how to travel cheaply around Spain by train.

Time to get moving – How to Overcome Procrastination

I’ve been intending to write about procrastination for a long time, but I have never had time to do it.

Procrastination is nothing to be ashamed of , almost everyone gets a bout from time to time.  I understood it was time for me to get off Twitteran d share some powerful ideas to help you stop time wasting for good.

Overcoming procrastination can gain you more time, increase your sense of accomplishment and take away the frustration of feeling stuck.

Learning how to begin work projects, do what really matters and grasp the day can have a massive impact on your happiness and success.

What is procrastination?

Psychologists define procrastination as something “counter-productive, needless and delaying” – and that is no fun after all.

We all have some great techniques for procrastinating, some of my personal favourites include:

“ There no rush it can wait.”

“ Its not Important.”

“I’ll start doing that this afternoon / tomorrow / next week / next month…”

“I’ll just clean the house / bathe the dog / take out the rubbish / check Facebook / cut my toenails first….”

“Every time I’m about to start, the phone rings / my boss comes by / I get an urgent email….”

What makes us come up with these fiendish avoidance tactics?

Check your Head

According to the Mind Gym, procrastination is typically driven by our deeper beliefs about the world.  If we can identify the underlying assumptions and motivatiorn, we can start to understand and beat our procrastination.

They suggest some common beliefs that lead to time-wasting:

Perfectionism, do you try for absolute perfection in everything you do?  Perfection is such a high standard to reach, this creates a massive amount of pressure to perform well.  Trying to write the perfect CV, create the ideal Powerpoint, have the perfect call with that customer is such a daunting task.  It is easy to understand why starting such a task feels frightening and is easy to put off. To somwe other time.

Certainty, “Before I take my dream trip to Canada / start this project on marketing to clients companies / go to that evening class, I need to know all about it”.  The need for certainty can make us to spend years in the research phase and never get started.  We fear that unless we’re an expert, we’ll be exposed as a fraud, look stupid and everything will go wrong.  So we never start.

Fear of failure, starting is the first step on the downward trip to failure, public humiliation and destitution.  Failure has stopped many good ideas and projects in their tracks.  This is probably the single largest cause of procrastination.

I’m not up to doing it , when we don’t believe we can do something, we’ll find every reason and excuse in the world not to do it.  The most debilitating idea in the world is “there is no way I can do this”.

Next time you find yourself watching TV or re-tweetig that latest fascinating post, take a second.  What are you putting off and why?

Changing Minds

If you want to beat procrastination, start by changing your thinking. You can only change some things in your life if you change some things in your life. Once you’ve identified what is behind your procrastination, try this approach:

Step 1 – Re think your belief

Start to take the pressure off yourself by looking at things that effect your beliefs in a less harsh way:

“I need get a perfect result” becomes “I’d like a perfect result”

“I need to know everything about this” becomes “It would be good to know everything about this’

“I’m terrified of failing” becomes “It would be better not to fail”

“I can’t do this” becomes “I’m not sure if I am ready for this”

Immediately, these beliefs become less imposing and less of a barrier to getting starting.

Step 2 – Create a safety net

Now to further reduce your belief.  Add in a get-out clause that makes the belief even less daunting.  For example:

“I’d like a perfect result but if I don’t get one it doesn’t matter.”

“It would be good to know everything about this but I already know enough to start and I’ll keep learning as I go along.”

These statements take away the terrible future events we’ve already imagined for the task.  It is ok if we try our best and we don’t quite reach perfect.ion.  If we do fail, we may even learn more than if we succeed.

Step 3 – Go for it

With the newly installed belief in place, it is time to get started!  When I’ve used this technique, it often feels like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders.  I always find that just taking action is the best way to beat procrastination.

I know one of the major reason I procrastinate is because I look at the task as a whole and forget to use the salarmi approach. So when I think of all the stuff I still have to do to get to my goal, it can be demotivating. But once I just focus on the task at hand and enjoy the process, it get’s much easier to get things done.

“Whatever you do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius and power and magic in it.” Johann von Goethe

"Many people make the mistake of thinking that all the challenges in their lives would dissipate if they just had enough money. Nothing could be further from the truth. Earning more money, in and of itself, rarely frees people. It's equally ridiculous to tell yourself that greater financial freedom and mastery of your finances would not offer your greater opportunities to expand, share, and create value for yourself and others." -- Anthony Robbins

Build Up Your Self Confidence

Our vulnerability to fear is in opposite proportion to our feeling of self worth.

If you have little self regard and consider yourselves to be worthless and of little value you will be enormously fearful.

On the other hand, if you are genuinely self confident you are less likely to be fearful. If you know that you have dealt effectively with problems in the past you are likely to have self confidence in your ability to deal with new problems.

You have probably acquired your feelings of inadequacy, because the people around you have made you feel inadequate and worthless.

Therefore in order to build up your self confidence you must replace negative, damaging feelings of failure, incompetence and unworthiness with positive feelings of success.

Let’s look at some workable ways in which you can boost your self confidence and eliminate your feelings of inadequacy.

First sit down with a piece of paper and a pencil and write down all the good things you can think of to say about yourself. Imagine that you are preparing a marketing campaign for yourself. This is where you will promote all your good points. You are trying to sell yourself to the world, though really you selling yourself to yourself.

I know that if you are shy and lacking in self confidence you may feel that it is going to be a daunting task. If you feel you are not ready to do it on your own, ask a friend that you trust to sit with you, they always say a job shared is a job halved. Create a list of words between you here is a few to start you of, honest, generous, thoughtful, hard-working, punctual, careful, considerate, moral, kind, ambitious, creative there lots just get your thinking hat on. Write down every good word that you think of, and then go through the list and tick of the ones that you honestly believe apply to yourself.

Read your `advertisement' every day to improve your self-image.

Stop seeing yourself as a failure, substitute your negative thinking with some positive images. You have to learn to see yourself as a success.

Now make a list of all the things you hold dear to you, not things you own but a list of all the intangibles in your life. If your married this would be your partner, your children, plus your integrity, your friends, your interests, your knowledge, your accomplishments and your good memories. These are the real treasures in your life. Next write down all the things for which you are grateful. When you look at your lists you may be surprised to find how many things there are that you can be proud about. These are your blessings.

Write down your top twenty memories, the magical times in your life when you felt at your happiest and calmest. Keep the list somewhere safe and look at it regularly. Keep your lists up dated adding new special memories to your Top Twenty lists as they occur.

Some fears aren't always easy to identify or isolate. If you have a problem which you want to identify try asking yourself `Why?'. That one word is the key to understanding (and overcoming) fear.

So, for example, if you feel `angry' and suspect that your anger may be caused by underlying fear ask yourself: `Why?' And keep asking `why?' until you get some answers.

Fear of the unknown is a powerful driving force. But you can derail this particular fear by always asking yourself. What is the worst thing that can happen in this situation? You will often be surprised to find that the worst really isn't all that bad. Once you know the worst you can make plans accordingly, my mother used to say “Fear comes knocking on the door, Faith answers it and there is no one there”.

My fear was of failure though I sometimes think it is fear of success, two sides of the same coin. How many times have you been on the verge of success and then you have sabotaged yourself, I’ve done it lots of times and in this moment in time I’m finishing my first book and once again the cold icy fingers of the fear of failure is creeping up on me, however I’ve made a plan and put it into action. My plan is written down and it’s now only one month to my book being published each day, I’m facing my fear and doing it anyway. My book may be a success who knows but I’ll have looked fear in the face and know I had nothing to fear but fear it’s self

Fear likes to keep us busy, we do jobs we don’t like because we’re frightened of what might happen if we leave. Fears keep people in relationships which have no future. Fear destroys courage and initiative. Fear of the unknown is one of society's ways of keeping us under control.

Spend As Much Time As You Can With Positive People

Don't spend time with people who are always criticising you, putting you down or looking on the gloomy side of life. Make every effort to make new friends out of people you admire. What's the worst that can happen? a negative response. What's the best that can happen? a great new friend.

Spend time with people who support and encourage you. Don’t put up with people who put you down? Keep away from them. Don't bother to share your life with them unless, of course, they change. Write positive quotes in your diary. Use inspirational books and tapes. Spend the first twenty minutes of your day doing something positive this will set you up for the day. Limit the amount of negative TV you watch, keep up with what is going on in the world by reading a once-a-week news magazine.
Remember that if you send out positive thoughts, you will get positive thoughts back.

Remember Your Offline Advertising

Remember your online advertising. A lot of online based businesses forget
About offline advertising. It is important to combine offline and online
advertising together in your marketing campaign. You can market offline
more effectively by targeting people that actually have access to the
internet. In all your advertising you want to include your web site address, e-mail or
auto responder addresses, and the e-mail address to subscribe to your
e-zine. Below are 10 offline marketing ideas:

1. Place classified or full page ads in print publications. The print
Publications should be computer or internet related.

2. Post flyers in stores. They could be computer stores, software stores,
libraries etc.

3. Buy mailing lists and send direct mail. You should make sure that all
the people on the mailing list are internet users.

4. Buy commercial time on T.V. They can be during shows that are targeted
toward internet users.

5. Pass out your CD-ROM or diskette business cards at special events. It
could be at trade shows, seminars, fairs, etc.

6. Set up a deal with another business that targets internet users. Pay the
business to insert your business ads in their product packages.

7. Hold a free offline class and teach people how to use their computer or
how to use the internet. You could have your web site on display as an
example.

8. Do co-op mailings with other businesses. They should also be targeting
people with internet access.

9. Give away free mouse pads. Put your advertising on the mouse pads and give
them away at computer or internet events.

10. Advertise in card decks. The card deck you advertise in should be targeted
toward internet users.

You would also want to target your offline advertising to groups of people
that will actually be interested in your product or service. If you're
selling business books, you will want to market to business owners. In
conclusion, if you have a business that's only based online, you don't want
to market to people that don't have access to the internet.

Thanks for your time today,

We appreciate you and we'll see you again soon.
Have a fantastic day!

To Your Success,

the launch can be moved.

Goal setting is essential to helping you get ahead. YOU can
achieve more in life.

Hi
Rosalie and James here from http://www.developingyoursuccess.com
Winners and achievers use goal setting to accomplish more in life.
Who do you admire that is successful? Copy and learn from them
how to give your life direction and focus, make your dreams and
goals a reality. There is no better time than now to start. Use the
power of the mind and decisive thinking to support you on the path
to success and achievement. See how this will boost your self esteem
and allow you to make a real impact in your life.
Let’s look at how goal setting in your life will help you to achieve
more?
In simple terms it means that:
 You will think more about what you want and what you want to do
 You will decide what is important for you to achieve
 It will help remove what is irrelevant and help you focus
 Doing this will help motivate you by showing you what you really
want
 You will be able to act with greater confidence
 You will be able to utilize your talents and strengths
 You will grow and develop as your success increases
Then by following established goal setting methods and techniques you will,
step by step, achieve your personal goals and targets.
What questions have you got?
What do you want to know?
 I've never set a goal in my life but I've done all right, so how can
this help me?
 Why is setting goals so important?
 Where does my self confidence fit into this?
 What are the steps to setting goals?
 Is there a simple format I can use?
 What are 'SMART' goals and how would they help me?
 What are Specific goals?
 What are Measurable goals?
 What are Attainable goals?
 What are Realistic goals?
 What are Timely goals?
 Ok I’m ready to start how can I be motivated to setting goals?
Over the next couple of days we will address these questions and all will
become clear.

Thanks for your time today,
We appreciate you and we'll see you again soon.
Have a fantastic day!

To Your Success,

Rosalie and James

Tackling the Problem with Self Confidence?

Self esteem affects your confidence, how important is that? If you want to rise to any challenge you must believe in yourself. Without confidence in what you can do and in who you are what chance do you have of happiness or success?

So what is Self Esteem ?

Self esteem is your opinion of yourself. High self esteem is a good opinion of yourself, and low self esteem is a bad opinion of yourself.

The Importance of Self Esteem
Self esteem is essential and is a cornerstone of a positive attitude towards living. It is very important because it affects how you think, act and even how you relate to other people. It allows you to live life to your potential. Low self esteem means poor confidence and that also causes negative thoughts, which in turn means that you are likely to give up more easily rather than face challenges. In addition, it has a direct bearing on your happiness and wellbeing.

You may well be asking. Why should self esteem matter to me?

I believe self esteem is central to everything we do. It affects your behaviour and thoughts. It changes how you feel about and value yourself, can you imagine anything else so important?

These are some of the reasons I believe why your self esteem needs to be high. High self esteem can be the difference between success and failure, it can affect your thinking causing your outlook to be positive or negative. It affects your confidence, your self image and if you don’t value yourself how will you be able to value others?

Self esteem enables you to have the right attitude to succeed at work.

It also affects your happiness, now what do I mean by that?

Your capability to achieve what you most desire is directly related to your self esteem. Whilst on the other hand, failure is much more likely when you suffer from low self esteem because you will believe others when they tell you why you cannot succeed.

At some time in our life’s most of us have carried around self doubts that have limited our potential. We have doubts on how capable we will be at performing a new job. We are uncertain as to whether we can keep our lover interested, or we have reservation whether we're smart enough to finish that university program. Whatever the case may be, this is where you have to look at your options, a choice needs to be made. You can either let your self doubts control your actions, or you can work through them by improving the things you can change and by accepting those you can't.

We are all capable of removing the negative layers and replacing them with positive ones. Only then can we start working on the most important relationship we'll ever have, the relationship with yourself, it’s important to learn how to value yourself, your ability and your contribution in the world because you are unique.

You have to understand that you cannot value and respect others unless you first value and respect yourself. We also have to learn the art of loving yourself, increase your confidence and fell better about yourself. When you look in the mirror look past the image you first see you are more than that. We all have things about our appearance that we don’t like but do you realise that other people looking at us will see something different.

Self image is another significant part of how you feel about yourself. Low self esteem means that you will have a poor image of yourself and this will result in a loss of confidence. Your social skills will also suffer and you will find it harder to socialise because others will respond negatively to your lack of confidence. You need to see and understand that there are lots of good reasons to feel positive about yourself.

Remember That:

You must learn and understand that you, and only you must believe in yourself. You have to give yourself the credit you deserve for the succesful things that you have done in the past, the succesful things you are doing in the present and the succesful things you know you can and will do in the future.

An important part of  lifting and keeping your  self esteem is by making the commitment to learn something new. Attending  motivational seminars or read a book that will inspire you. There are lots of books and tapes that can help move you forward with your life. By making self development part and parcel of your life you will improve and retain you self esteem and be confident about the present and the future.

More Traffic

Have you built a wonderful ecommerce site just to see it sit unvisited? Building your site is only half the battle – now you have to drive visitors your way. If you have already utilized SEO and created a social media presence, you may want to consider building a blog into the site. Many ecommerce sites don’t have blogs, and it’s too bad; these companion blogs can be a great way to boost traffic. If you are ready to build a blog for your ecommerce site, here are some tips to keep in mind:
Go For The Soft Sell

Your blog isn’t the place to endlessly expound upon the amazing things that your customers will find over at your ecommerce site. Of course, you should let your readers know when you are running a sale or special promotion (and don’t forget to promote it via social media, too!), but be careful of selling too hard. You want your blog to be a place that people go to for quality content, and no one wants to be sold to 24/7. Make valuable, engaging posts your first priority, and no one will mind the occasional plug for your store. However, feel free to link back to your product pages (within context) from your blog. Those backlinks are SEO gold.
Showcase Your Enthusiasm
The reason you got into business in the first place was because you had an interest in your product. Your blog is the perfect place to let that enthusiasm shine. Share stories about your product or experiences that you’ve had while working in the business. Pay attention to thought leaders in your marketplace, and feel free to link to their blogs or social media sites. For example, if you sell high quality golf balls, you can link to interesting stories in GolfDigest, or write up an opinion piece or two during the Masters Tournament reflecting on the game. The more excited you are about your field, the more excited your customers will be about your product. And who knows, you might even have a little bit of fun!
Create A Conversation
A valuable aspect of creating a blog for your business is that you have opened up an avenue for your customers to share their thoughts. It can be intimidating for a business to open itself up like this, but this access should be viewed as a great opportunity. After all, if there is a problem or a customer is unhappy, don’t you want to know why? Encourage feedback and participation, and then use those comments to grow your business.
Don’t let your ecommerce site go unvisited. Adding a blog can be a great choice on your road to business success.
